About
Project SASGIS by SAS Group is dedicated to creating and discussing ways of sharing information of the geographic maps published on the Internet. The main tool we have established and developed a freeware program SASPlanet, designed to unify the opportunity to download and view maps of a large number of online-mapping services.
For what it need:
In a network, you can find many geo-services provide an opportunity to view the cartographic material, all of these services provided by different material parameters such as map scale, coverage areas, displayed objects, etc. which makes it difficult to find specific cards. Also, access to most of these services is limited, the user only has the ability to view maps in the browser, often spending extra bandwidth to download the same areas. Also, the user of such geo-services is not necessary to keep him part of the card to use it to their needs (eg, programs for navigation). SASPlanet provides a uniform interface for loading and processing of cartographic material.
